Maverick Honors 3 Drivers for 2 Million Miles of Safe Driving (10/28/08)

Maverick Transportation recently honored three of their Professional Drivers; Dale Dunn of Batesville, AR, Billy Daniels of McCrory, AR and Warren Scott of Knoxville, TN for achieving 2 Million Miles of Safe Driving.

Award presentations were held in each of their honors in which Steve Williams, Chairman and CEO and Stephen Selig, President and COO spoke about the excellence and dedication of each of these drivers. They joined many others in the company in applauding their hard work and focus on safety. These are the first three drivers to achieve this incredible landmark with Maverick Transportation and more are on their way.

To put this achievement in perspective; a person would have to drive the distance of the moon and back four times without a single accident to reach two million miles of safe driving.

Dunn, Daniels and Scott are all noted as leaders in the company, with many awards and acclamations, including two Drivers’ of the Year and a Truck Rodeo Grand Champion. “This is the type of award that only the most professional, safest drivers receive. It is truly an honor to have drivers like Dale, Billy and Warren to acknowledge,” said Vice President of Safety Dean Newell. These three drivers have over 50 years of combined experience at the flatbed and specialized carrier.
